I welcome you to Applied Behavioral Consultants, LLC. My name is Dr. Joseph J. Plaud. My specialty is clinical and forensic psychology. I have over 100 scientific publications in these areas of concentration. I have also taught advanced courses at numerous colleges and universities, and I have been part of the faculties at Brown University, the University of North Dakota, Worcester State University, and Northeastern University, among other institutions. I am sought out as a consultant regarding clinical and forensic psychology evaluations and treatment. Many of my cases involve complex legal issues pertaining to risk assessments. My clinical offices are in Naples, Florida and I also consult across the United States.

Applied Behavioral Consultants, LLC provides consultation, psychological and psychosexual evaluations and expert testimony in both criminal and civil matters. Dr. Plaud, a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, has testified as an expert witness in multiple states as well as within the federal system in the United States. He is recognized around the world as a professional leader in the evaluation and treatment of male and female sexual offenders as well as his professional work involving other clinical and forensic populations.

Dr. Plaud has always been an adherent to the scientist-practitioner model of practice in clinical and forensic psychology. It is critical to integrate cutting edge research findings into the professional practice of psychology: in the clinic, in the courtroom, and in the classroom. It is also important to understand the historical underpinnings of clinical and forensic psychology.

Dr. Plaud's major interests in other fields include his work to preserve the legacies of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and the New Deal. Dr. Plaud serves as a Trustee of the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park, NY. At one time Dr. Plaud had one of the largest personal collections of Roosevelt and New Deal memorabilia, in which he shared with the public in a nonprofit museum.
